MacPAC is friendly, non-competitive performance opportunity for young musicians in a supportive environment.

OPEN TO: Primary and High School students of all ages playing Wind, Brass, Strings or Piano.

WHEN: Sunday 17 August 2025 at MacArthur Anglican School - Multiple Session times between 11am-4pm

ENTRY FEE: The entry fee for each performer is $35. If an individual would like to do 2 performances using different instruments, they are eligible to purchase a Double Performer Ticket for $60.

Audience fee - $10 per adult, $5 concessions and kids over 12 years old , FREE for children 0-12 years old. Cash payments and EFTPOS available at the door and a link to audience pre-paid tickets will be released closer to the event.

ADJUDICATIONS AND MEDALS: At MacPAC, there are no winners and losers. All participants receive the immeasurable benefits of playing for a live audience and a skilled adjudicator. Adjudication assesses performance quality as much as technical ability. Along with an adjudication report, each musician will receive a momento of the occasion - their own special medal.

REQUIREMENTS: Participants perform one piece, either solo or with accompaniment, that is under 5 minutes in length. Sessions will run between 11am and 4pm. You will be informed of your performance time two weeks prior to the event.

SPACES ARE LIMITED - registrations close Monday, 4th August 2025 (REGISTRATION DATE EXTENDED!)

ACCOMPANIST - an accompanist will be provided for a fee of $20 for the performance. There will be no chance for a rehearsal on the day with the accompanist, however you will be able to organise a rehearsal prior to the challenge directly with the accompanist, for a separate fee. If you would like an accompanist on the day please select the option in the enrolment form and details regarding the accompanist will be provided.

Terms and conditions

  • Performer is a primary or secondary aged student.

    Performance piece is less than 5mins.

    If using an accompanist they will ensure music is provided to them 2 weeks before the event (details to follow of accompanist)

    Performer is responsible for bringing their instrument and music on the day. Music stand will be provided.
